We conclude our sermon series on the Precious Promises of the Old Testament by looking at four prophecies about "the Branch of the Lord." These prophecies each present a different perspective on who this Messiah is and what roles He plays. He is a righteous, ruling King. He is a humble servant who removes iniquity. He is a royal priest who is a man who will build the Lord's temple. He is a fruit-bearing leader that has the Spirit and provides peace.

The New Testament presents complete a picture of who this Branch is as Jesus, and how we as His people relate to this branch. Jesus tells us that He is the true vine and we are the branches of Him, sustained in Him to bear fruit like Him. The advent of this King is not just for one day; it is meant to be our lives, to branch out and bear fruit everywhere, announcing God's grace to all who will trust in Him!
