Who was Jesus?

We read about Jesus in the Bible, who he was, what he did, and who he continues to be today. We study his teachings and believe that he was God who came and lived on earth and died to save us. But as we read the stories of Jesus’ life, can we easily forget that they really happened? Is our perception of Jesus one-dimensional and thus missing the fullness of who he is?

Northstar decided to make the summer of 2020 all about Jesus.

Who He was, who He is, and specifically what He did here while He was on earth. In 2020, Northstar small groups were originally scheduled to be winding down at the end of April. However, with the realities of COVID-19, continued social distancing and stay-at-home guidelines, we  decided to watch The Chosen together that summer. It was a significant period in the life of our church family, and we believe that the Lord used this series to be a huge blessing to our church and through our church in amazing ways.

The Chosen is an amazing, biblically-centered, quality video series that tracks the life of Jesus through the gospels. The opportunity to watch the life of Jesus in a fresh way, in conjunction with reading the gospels and interacting with others about it will undoubtedly be one of the most fruitful moments you'll have.

Since this was a significant moment for our church and community, we wanted to encourage you to dive into The Chosen as well! We have provided a free, unbranded resource for you to use as you watch the episodes. We'd love to hear from you about how the Lord has used this resource to bless you and your church.

Are you a church or ministry wanting to use our discussion guides?

We have produced non-branded guides for your download below. We’d love to hear that they were helpful and a blessing to your groups!

See if you recognize any Northstar people from this video!

NOTE: We will not be producing Season 4 guides.

We still love The Chosen, but we can't keep up. ;) Thank you for your encouragement and donations through our efforts at providing guides through season 3.

Northstar is happy to provide these free resources  to bless other churches, ministries, and individuals. However, if you would like to say thank you by means of a love offering, you can do so below!
