Bags of Joy 2025
Bags of Joy has become one of Northstar’s most meaningful traditions. It is a simple yet powerful way to share the love of Christ in our community. Each year, we have the privilege of reaching children and senior adults in Foster Care across Montgomery, Giles, and Pulaski Counties by providing Christmas gift bags filled with care and encouragement.
These bags are more than just gifts; they’re a reminder that the church sees and values those who may often feel overlooked. In 2020, our church family came together to provide over 150 bags for individuals in foster care, and we’re praying to make an even greater impact this year.
Starting Sunday, November 2, Bags of Joy will be available for pickup in the church lobby. As you fill a bag, we encourage you to take a moment to pray that the person who will receive it will experience the peace and presence of Jesus during this season.
While Bags of Joy brings hope and happiness at Christmas, its impact reaches beyond the holidays. Many children enter foster care throughout the year with few belongings. These same bags help meet those ongoing needs by providing both practical necessities and small comforts during times of transition.
Through this simple act of giving, we have the opportunity to reflect the heart of Christ by serving others with compassion and kindness, just as He has done for us.
