Bags of Joy
It's time for Bags of Joy! One of our favorite traditions/missions at Northstar is a ministry to reach children and senior adults in Foster Care within Montgomery, Giles, and Pulaski Counties. Our hope is to show them the love of Christ by providing a bag of gifts for Christmas. This simple act is a way to show these children that the church cares about them. Last year we provided 150+ bags for Foster Care.
This year, you will be able to pick them up beginning Sunday, November 7. This practical expression of Jesus’ love is also a wonderful encouragement to foster parents during this season.
Bags of Joy not only provide items for youth at Christmas, but they also help provide for youth entering foster care throughout the year. Many of the youth in foster care enter placements with little belongings. Bags of Joy provide others with necessities as well as comforting items.
