State of the Church 2021

January 23, 2021

Sunday, January 31 is our annual State of the Church Sunday. It’s a wonderful opportunity to invite friends, neighbors, and co-workers to be informed and inspired. You’ll hear who we are as a people, and you’ll be reminded of how great our God is as we reflect on how He blessed last year and look ahead.

Look ahead

  • Discipleship. In January of 2019, we began the Discipleship Initiative. You’ll hear the results of that initiative and what our plans are for 2021 and beyond as we seek to “present everyone mature in Christ.” (Colossians 1:28)
  • Small groups. As we grow forward, we want to grow smaller. 😉 We are actively preparing for a significant expansion in our small groups – both numbers and in focus. As we prepare for noticeable growth with the opening of our new building, small groups will be more important than ever.
  • Ministry and leadership opportunities. There are some exciting new initiatives on the horizon in for men’s and women’s ministry, Care Team, and strategic ways to bless our community. This all means that our leadership base will be growing in 2021! If you’ve wanted to lead, serve and get involved, 2021 will be your year!
  • Moving in! We know that 2021 will be a huge year for Northstar as we see our Immeasurably More campaign finally fulfilled when we move into our building sometime in late February! God has been faithful to provide for us, and in the months ahead, we are praying that He provides all our financial needs through members, families and friends of Northstar.

Join us on January 24

We can’t wait to share this Sunday with you. Please be in prayer for that day as we exalt our God who has blessed us to be His church together! We have so much to be thankful for and so much to prepare for!
