Staff Spotlight: Meet Alex Kacere

You are in for a real treat! Prepare to meet Alex Kacere, Northstar’s Youth Minister. He is a fun loving guy that serves our youth with enthusiasm and passion. His sense of humor is incredible and keeps us on our toes. Make sure you look for Alex on Sunday at Church, give him a fist bump, and then give him a hard time about being a Cleveland Browns fan.Alex Kacere, Youth Minister

All joking aside, the most important thing you can know about Alex is that he loves Jesus deeply and is on mission to spread the good news of The Gospel to youth and adults alike.

How long have you worked at Northstar and what did you do before?

I’ve been on staff with Northstar almost one year to the day. Before that I worked at a church in Ohio called West Hill Baptist.

If time and money were not factors, what a week vacation look like to you?

Good question. I would play golf at seven different PGA tour courses that include Augusta National, The Old Course, TPC Sawgrass, and Chambers Bay. I would go to every Cleveland Indians game in a suite at nights.

What actor/actress would play you in a movie about your life?

My dude Tom Hanks.

If you could attend any Olympic event, what would it be?

Olympic bobsledding.

If you could only eat three foods for the rest of your life, what would they be?

Lebanese Food, Chipotle, Zaxsbys.

If Jeff Noble was a wrestler, what would his wrestler name be?

The Organized Assassin

Who is your favorite Bible character?

Besides Jesus? It is probably Steven. That dude asked God to forgive the people who were hurling rocks at his head… that’s quite commendable.

What is one of your favorite memories from your time here at Northstar?

It is a recent memory, taking our Youth Group to Crossroads Camp in South Carolina. It was amazing how God moved in our lives.

How has your time at Northstar impacted your walk with Christ?

Northstar has given me an opportunity to grow as a leader and as a follower. I have been given the opportunity to serve in areas I have never served and learn in areas I had never learned previously. Northstar leadership encourages us to do ministry and to try new things. I have really grown in my ability to administrate, although I am still learning in this area.

What is your favorite bible verse?

1 John 3:1, “See what great love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are! The reason the world does not know us is that it did not know him.”
