GAP Hike to Devil’s Marbleyard

September 17, 2018

Let’s take a hike! Before the cold weather sets in, we’re going to take advantage of the fall temperatures and get outside! On September 29, we’re going to head to Devil’s Marbleyard to spend the day hiking, clambering over some rocks, and eating lunch together.

Don’t let the name of the hike scare you! It is a slightly challenging 4.5 mile (roundtrip) hike but there are multiple ways to the top, including a regular trail and a large rock garden. We are planning to take our time, and there’s a great view once you make it! If you’d like some more information on the hike, visit this link. IMPORTANT: there is other information out there about this hike, including that it’s 8.3 miles, etc. This is NOT the hike that we’ll be doing!

We are going to plan to leave the ministry center at 9:00 a.m. That will put us at the trailhead no later than 10:30. Plan to eat a good sized breakfast and pack a lunch! We will eat when we reach the summit. Check your email inbox for an official invite!
