GAP Fall Retreat 2018

September 17, 2018

It’s here! The 5th annual GAP Fall Retreat is scheduled for October 26 – 28 at Smith Mountain Lake! The Fall Retreat has become one of the most exciting times of the year for the GAP ministry as we all take a break from the busyness of the fall semester and spend some time together enjoying fellowship, food, and teaching. The theme for this year will be “Spiritual Maturity,” and we will be looking at maturity in Christ in the life of a believer, and how that is expressed emotionally, relationally, and spiritually.

This year, the retreat will still be held at Smith Mountain Lake about an hour and a half from Blacksburg at the W.E. Skelton 4H Educational Conference Center. There will be hotel and dorm-style lodging, meeting space, kitchens, and space for indoor and outdoor activities! We will also have a bonfire pit for later Saturday night. Of course, there will be a costume contest Saturday evening as well, so come prepared with your best costumes!

Everyone is welcome! We hope to have a large group made up of long-time GAPpers and new folks as well. The cost will be $75 a person, and will cover all of the food, lodging, and activities for the weekend. We only ask for some volunteer help as we do make and serve all our own meals.

Interested? There are only about 40 spots available so register as soon as possible! If the cost is prohibitive for you, please contact us, we can work something out. Email Matt for more information, or go ahead and register at this link!
