GAP Fall Retreat 2017

September 26, 2017

It’s here! The 4th annual GAP Fall Retreat is scheduled for October 27 – 29 at Smith Mountain Lake! The Fall Retreat has become one of the most exciting times of the year for the GAP ministry as we all take a break from the busyness of the fall semester and spend some time together enjoying fellowship, food, and teaching. The theme for this year will be “Walking in Holiness,” and we will be unpacking what it means to live a life pleasing to God as a response to his redeeming work in our lives.

This year, the retreat will still be held at Smith Mountain Lake about an hour and a half from Blacksburg, but we are moving the location to the W.E. Skelton 4H Educational Conference Center. There will be plenty of dorm-style lodging, meeting space, kitchens, and space for indoor and outdoor activities! We also have some canoes and kayaks reserved for Saturday afternoon, and a bonfire pit for later Saturday night. Of course, there will be a costume contest Saturday evening as well, so come prepared with your best costumes!

Everyone is welcome! We hope that we have a large group made up of long-time GAPpers and new folks as well. The cost will be $75 a person, and will cover all of the food, lodging, and activities for the weekend. We only ask for some volunteer help as we do make and serve all our own meals.
