Connect 88-WWJD: Service Recap

February 22, 2018

Our first Connect 88 of 2018 was February 18, and we had a great morning! After breakfast together (fruit and bagels from Panera), we introduced the semester of Connect 88. We will be doing live speakers this semester, with a story and a Bible study focused on the theme of WWJD – What Would Jesus Do.

Story

Aaron Petersen was our first story. Aaron is a sophomore at New River Community College. Listen in to his story as he describes growing up with spina bifida and the obstacles he faced as a result while he tried to find his identity in Christ.

WWJD: Jesus came to serve

Jeff Noble was our speaker this week, and he unpacked the theme of service. Mark 10:45 says, “Even the Son of Man did not come to be served but to serve and give His life as a ransom for many.” Listen in as Jeff unpacks our motivations for service and outlines a few cautions related to service.

Don’t miss our next Connect 88!

On Sunday, February 25, Trey Moore will share WWJD: Jesus sought the Father and Mike Jones will be sharing his story.
