Connect 88: Relationship Goals

September 5, 2018

What does the Bible say about relationships? What is dating, really?

If you’re a college student and you’ve ever found yourself asking those types of questions, join us for the next Connect 88 this Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Blacksburg Middle School.

Aside from the Bible, there really is no perfect book that covers relationships. But Gerald Hiestand and Jay Thomas have written a short book that lays out a clear, concise approach to a biblical perspective on dating.

Our goal with this series is to present a biblical approach to understanding relationships while motivating in each of us a desire to hold ourselves accountable to God and His Word. If we call ourselves followers of Christ, then we need to uphold His Word! We are called to live in a way that reflects Jesus and the Gospel, and that includes our dating lives.

What can you expect this week?

We will be talking about a Biblical perspective on dating and the conversation will be based around principles that we discussed during the first two weeks of the series. We will work together to discuss practical applications of these Biblical truths to dating.

Tyler Farnsworth will be speaking this week.

Remember, this all happens on Sundays at 10:30 a.m. in the BMS library. We hope you’ll plan to join us for each of these sessions. If you have any questions, feel free to contact our college ministry director, Erin Petersen.
