About the NRVJI:
“After a sermon delivered during the Blacksburg churches’ shared Lenten services in 2012, New River Valley Justice Initiative formed with persons from churches and other area and VA Tech organizations. NRVJI’s mission is to educate our community about human trafficking and to advocate for and support victims of human trafficking. Today there are an estimated 27 million slaves to human trafficking. Each year 18, 500 foreign nationals entering our borders due to sexual exploitation or forced labor. Our mission is based on God’s love being so great and God’s will for the Church to be agents of justice and peace for all.”
