I would like to take a moment and introduce you to our newest Youth Leader! Jake Clark is going to be working with the middle school boys in ReVerb.
Jake is from Williamsburg, Virginia and, as a Sophomore here at Virginia Tech, is studying Finance. After his time at school, he’s hoping to pursue a career in Financial Advising and Wealth Management.
Outside of school, Jake enjoys hiking, working out, playing NBA 2k, fishing, reading, and spending time with friends. He’s excited to be able to use those hobbies to pour into the students over the next couple of years.
Jake was someone that reached out to me and took initiative in becoming involved with the youth. When I asked him why he wanted to become involved, he said, “I want to be a youth leader because of the impact that my church youth leaders had on me. I grew up in a church and my best friends today are from my small group in Williamsburg. That small group has given me so much and this is my opportunity to give back to other middle schoolers and give them a chance to meet their best friends while growing in their faith.”
Myself, our Adult Youth Leader Team, and Northstar are excited to have him join us as we lead students in their faith! Welcome to the team, Jake!
