Meet the GAP Leadership: Sarah Blosch

Blog, GAP

Each week, GAP will be introducing their leadership team in a collection of blogs! This week we introduce Sarah Blosch!

Hi! I’m Sarah Blosch and I am in charge of GAP communications as well as have the pleasure of serving as the church staff liaison for GAP! I also co-lead the Wednesday night GAP small group in Blacksburg.

I was born and raised in Tulsa, Oklahoma and attended the University of Oklahoma. While at OU I was a four-year member of the Pride of Oklahoma Marching Band, playing the tenor saxophone. I am the youngest of four children, and the proud aunt of two boys!

My upbringing as it relates to Christianity is a little out of the ordinary, as my mother was a believer, but my family was never avid church goers. After college, and years of searching for something that I now realize was Christ, I was saved and baptized in November of 2011.

I first began attending Northstar in August of 2012 after moving to Blacksburg to study Macromolecular Science and Engineering at Virginia Tech. Northstar has been a place that has introduced me to the concept of having a loving relationship with Jesus Christ. The friends I made in GAP and the way that this ministry has given so much to me has made me incredibly passionate about giving back and serving the church through GAP.

My “free time…” or the time I spend ignoring the work that’s waiting for me in my research lab… is spent snuggling with my dog, Maddux, reading, watching sports (any OU sporting team, the Chicago Cubs, and the OKC Thunder) or playing board games with friends! I love the opportunity to interact with people in the sciences that may not know about what a relationship with Christ looks like. I love the people I have met at Northstar and that this is a place that I can call home!

Meet some leadership members you may have missed!
