Live Sent: A Missional Conversation Event

We have an opportunity to spend an evening with Jason Dukes next week, on Wednesday, October 26. Jason is a dynamic thinker and missional church mobilizer. He’s a pastoral leader at Westpoint Church and is the author of the provocative book called Live Sent.

We know this is a little “last minute,” but these dates are what he had available for us that work. We hope that you’ll consider attending with your small group. We are confident that you’ll be encouraged and challenged to think differently about “being the church.” We’ll also make sure that there is an opportunity for Q&A and feedback. The overall format is just 90 minutes. The place will be announced soon. Stay tuned here and on our Facebook page.

Here’s what we want to accomplish:

  • A fun “joint fellowship” time for all of our small groups
  • A deepening encounter as we are challenged to think about what “being the church” means
  • An opportunity to hear someone who is helping churches embrace missional living

  • Wednesday, October 26 at 6:30 p.m.

Please respond at this link to let us know when/if you can come. You’re free to bring as many with you as you want!

The Wednesday night gathering will meet at the Wesley Foundation. Click here for a map.

Thanks in advance for your responses. We hope you’ll be able to make it! Sorry for the late notice! It’s been one of those special opportunities that we couldn’t pass up.

There is a corresponding opportunity for you on this Thursday, October 27. The idea is to invite pastors, staff, campus ministers and key leaders in your ministries to simply come and enoy about a 90 minute time with Jason. We’ll make sure that there is an opportunity for Q&A and feedback. We want it to be a type of “roundtable” encounter.

Here’s what we want to accomplish:

  • Encouragement of ministers and key leaders
  • Provide a free copy of the Live Sent for those who come
  • Feed you and serve you as much coffee as you can drink during the 90
  • minutes
  • Let you know that we love you and appreciate you being a kingdom partner
  • with us.
  • Give you an opportunity to meet and connect with a humble, missional theologian that will encourage and challenge us all.

* Thursday, October 27 at 10 a.m.
* Same day at 2:00 p.m.

Please respond at this link to let us know when/if you can come. You’re free to bring a many with you as you want!

The gatherings on Thursday will meet in the BCM building at the corner of Kent and Washington.
