Worship Services

You’ll love your visit to Northstar! Here’s some information about our worship services. There is full children’s ministry at the morning service: nursery, preschool and toddler and Jumpstart (K-5).

• Where: Blacksburg High School on Prices Fork Road. Click here for a map to the school.
• Morning Services: We are currently on our “summer” schedule for Sunday morning worship. There is one morning service at 10:00 a.m.
• Evening Service: Our evening service is at 6:00 p.m. and meets at Fieldstone Church in Christiansburg. (Click for map.)

What to Expect

When you arrive at BHS, enter through the community entrance. It will be the second set of doors to your left (not the school’s main entrance). You’ll find warm, friendly folks there to greet you and help you get information about the morning – whether the cafe with coffee and donuts or placing your child in children’s ministry.

We’re very casual, so come comfortable. But come ready for a vibrant worship experience. We suspect you may come a little nervous, but almost everyone leaves refreshed and having felt like they’ve experienced family.

We’d love to have you join us in the morning at one of our Sunday worship experiences . Our worship is casual and contemporary. Sermons are biblically focused and consistently seek to help the curious find faith and the committed move from attendance to service.

Families with Kids

We have an incredible children’s ministry, staffed with folks whose priority is to help your child fall in love with Jesus Christ. You’ll be delighted to hear how much your child enjoyed their time at Northstar.

Babies through preschool ministry begins promptly at the start of the services. Our Jumpstart kids (grades K-5) enter their ministry time after the first 15 minutes of the worship service.

Full children’s ministries (link) are offered during the morning service.

If it’s your first time, please make sure to have your children check in at the family ministry table about 10 minutes prior to the start of the service.
